Welcome! I am a photographer based in the Charlotte area. My primary focus is "people" pictures -- weddings,
families, children, high school seniors, head shots, and nearly any kind of special events. I have also
done some corporate and product photography. If you are looking to hire me for a project, take a look

What got me into this business? I've had a passion for photography since I bought my first camera in high school in the mid-1970s. I had an excellent mentor back then who recommended that I shoot black & white film for two reasons: (1) be able to afford to process my own film and prints, and (2) learn the importance of composition. A colorful picture is usually pleasing to the eye even when the composition is poor. But a well composed image is beautiful whether in color or black & white. When I took pictures at friends' weddings, they often told me my pictures turned out better than ones they paid a real photographer to take. I bit the bullet and invested in some professional equipment, and I haven't regretted it since! I have a full-time job in Corporate America that puts a roof over my head and food on my table. Being a professional photographer is a part-time gig that funds my passion for photography. My goal is not to make a living doing photography but rather to fund my next camera, the next lens, software, studio lighting equipment, and the list goes on.
